Pro Tips

  • Allow to set. You have to let the pie sit for at least 1 hour or it will fall apart when removing it from the crock pot. This is very important so make sure to not skip this step!
  • Use Crock Pot liners. This pie is very sticky and messy. You need to use liners and cleanup will be a breeze. It also makes it easy to life out to cut.
  • Don’t overfill the pie crust. Do not let the pie filling go above the pie shell in the crock pot.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do you have to refrigerate a Pecan Pie?

Yes, refrigerate any leftover pie in an airtight container. It will last up to 5 days.

We love this pie and eat it pretty fast though. Ours never seems to last that long around here.

Maple Syrup is a good substitute for corn syrup in this pie. For a sweet option, try using cane syrup.
