Variation Ideas
- Try milk chocolate instead of white chocolate. It is also so fun and pretty to use both. The drizzle looks gorgeous with both types of chocolate.
- Try other types of candy. Topping these with colorful sprinkles would be adorable too.
- Switch the colors to make these for other seasons and holidays. Try red and green for Christmas, orange and black for Halloween, green for St. Patrick’s Day, red and pink for Valentine’s Day. These are so easy to adapt anytime of the year.
How to Make Easter Pretzel Rods
Step 1. First, melt chocolate in a tall glass or bowl. Melt in the microwave in 30 second increments. Make sure to stir in between each one.
Step 2. Next, dip each pretzel rod into the melted white chocolate. Allow the excess chocolate to drip off.
Step 3. After the pretzel rods are dipped in white chocolate, place them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper.
Step 4. Crush the M&M and sprinkle them over the top of the white chocolate.
Step 5. Melt the candy melts in your microwave safe dish in 30 second intervals, stirring in between.
Step 6. Drizzle the melted candy over the white chocolate and the M&Ms. Allow to cool and enjoy. Serve on a pretty tray.
Storage
Place the pretzel rods inside an airtight container and store at room temperature. I do not suggest placing in the refrigerator as it can cause the pretzels to soften.
Expert Tips
- Melt the candy in intervals. It is important to melt these in intervals because you do not want to burn the candy melts.
- Prepare the baking sheet. I used a wire rack to allow the chocolate to drip off but you can also use parchment or wax paper on a baking sheet. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and allow the chocolate dipped pretzels to cool on that sheet.
- Crush the candy in a bag. When you are crushing the candy, anything will do. You can also just put in a ziplock bag and use a rolling pin to crush them. Easy!
- Allow to set before storing. The chocolate and toppings need to set completely before storing.

I LOVE covered pretzels.
I soften carmel squares, roll them out and wrap the pretzels with the Carmel strip before coating it with chocolate.
It’s DEVINE and welcomed at Kids-Adult partys for a fast, impressive treat.
