How long does Easter Chex Mix keep?

Store in an airtight container for up to a week and enjoy! Ours never lasts that long though because we eat it quickly. We really love it.

It is ok out for a day or so but it will keep longer in the fridge and stay moist. Like I said, we eat this snack mix super fast because it is a treat we all love!

Expert Tips

  • Mixing the Ingredients – We like to mix the ingredients other than the powdered sugar in a large mixing bowl. Then we transfer to a zip lock bag to cover in the powdered sugar.
  • Powdered Sugar – To cover evenly it is best to coat your ingredients in a large zip lock bag. We have tried other methods and this one works best.
  • Make a Large Batch – Puppy chow is so addicting no mater the holiday we make it. So I always make a large batch.
  • Use Candy Melts – If you want a different color, use pastel colored candy melts.

Could you substitute any thing for the peanut butter. My granddaughter is allergic to peanuts

    1. Carrie says:

You can use any nut butter. If you’re allergic to all nuts, then you can eliminate the peanut butter and it will still be delicious. I would increase the chocolate to make up for the loss of the peanut butter.
