How to Make Mrs. Fields Chocolate Chip Cookies

Step 1. Use a large mixing bowl and cream together the softened butter, sugar, brown sugar, eggs and vanilla extract. I prefer to use my stand mixer but you can use a handheld mixer.

Step 2. Combine flour and dry ingredients using a separate medium bowl or large bowl.

Step 3. Whisk together the wet and dry ingredients together using an electric mixer on low to medium speed. Only stir until just combined and be careful not to over mix.

Step 4. Blend in Chocolate Chips by hand. Then refrigerate the cookie dough for at least 1 hour. This will keep the cookies from getting flat.

Step 5. Scoop Cookie Dough using a large cookie scoop. Place them on a baking sheet about 2 inches apart.

Step 6. Bake the cookies in a preheated oven for 10-13 minutes until the edges are golden brown. Don’t overcook them as they will continue to cook as they sit. Allow to finish cooling on a wire rack.
How to warm up
There is nothing better than a warm chocolate chip cookie. If you prefer to have fresh from the oven chocolate chip cookies, follow these tips.
- Microwave – Place the chocolate chip cookie on a microwave safe plate and microwave for about 10 seconds.
- Oven or Air Fryer – If you prefer your cookie to have a crispy edges, I recommend placing in the oven or air fryer. Heat the oven or air fryer to about 325 degrees and heat for about 2 minutes.
Pro Tips
- Room Temperature Ingredients – We recommend starting with softened butter to make this recipe. It blends with the other ingredients so there aren’t any lumps are in the batter.
- Mixing Ingredients – For best results, use a stand mixer or a hand help mixer to mix the ingredients.
- Large Scoops – To make these closely resemble Mrs. Fields cookies, scoop about ¼ cup of the dough to form the dough. They need to be the size of a golf ball.
- Baking Cookies – Bake cooking until golden brown. Make sure to not over cooke the cookies. The cookies will finish cooking while on the baking sheet after removing from the oven.
- Prepare Baking Sheets – Parchment paper makes clean up easy and helps the cookies to bake evenly without spreading a bunch.
