Frequently Asked Questions

How to store?

Store the leftover chocolate chip cookies with walnuts
in an airtight container or ziplock bag at room temperature for up to 5 days.  Keep a slice of bread in the container with the cookies to keep them moist.

Can you freeze the cookies?

Yes, you can freeze the cookies unbaked or baked. This recipe is very easy to freeze and you can enjoy freshly baked cookies any day of the week.

If you plan to freeze the cookies before being baked, it is important to flash freeze the dough balls. Place them on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper and freeze for 1 to 2 hours.

Then transfer the dough balls to a freezer bag or container. They won’t stick to each other because of flash freezing them. You can then bake the entire batch or just a couple of cookies.

Bake as normal but add a few extra minutes to the baking time if frozen.

If you are freezing baked cookies, allow to cool and place in a freezer container. Separate the cookies with parchment paper. Allow to thaw overnight in the fridge when ready to enjoy.

Frozen dough and cookies can be frozen up to 3 months. Learn how to freeze cookie dough for more tips and tricks.
