Step By Step Instructions
- Step 1. Prepare the baking sheets by lining them with waxed paper. Then set aside for later.

Step 2. Use a microwave-safe bowl and pour the green candy melts in it. Heat in 20 second intervals. Make sure to stir after each one until completely melted.

Step 3. Next, dip each of the pretzels in the melted candy melts.

Step 4. Once coated, place the pretzels on the prepared cookie sheet in shamrock shapes. Coat 3 of the mini pretzels and place them in the sheet touching.

Step 5. Then coat a pretzel stick in green candy coating. Place the stick in between the 3 mini pretzels to form a shamrock. Make sure to remove any excess chocolate with a fork before placing on the sheet pan.

Step 6. Decorate the shamrocks immediately with the chocolate candies and sprinkles before the candy sets.ย ย

Step 7. Continue this process until all the shamrocks are formed.ย Then allow the pretzels to sit at room temperature until the candy has completely set. You can place in the freezer if you are in a hurry.
Storage
Store the leftovers in an airtight container for up to 2 weeks.ย If your house is warm, you may want to store them in the fridge.
Expert Tips
- Edible Cupcake Toppers. Try using these fun treats as cupcake toppers. They would be so cute in Green Velvet Cupcakes.
- Coating. If you cannot find green candy melts, you can use melted almond bark or white chocolate chips. Then dye melted chocolate green with green food coloring.ย ย
- Allow excess chocolate to drip off. This will make each shape look even cuter once set. Once dry, you can use a knife to carefully remove any from the pretzels.
- Caramel. You can use Rolo Candies in the middle for another fun option.
- Gluten Free Pretzels. Feel free to swap gluten free pretzels in this recipe.
