Ingredients

Ingredients for American flag candy charcuterie board- assorted candy, treats and nuts.
  • Red Twizzlers. We used regular Twizzlers but you can also use the pull apart variety.
  • White Jelly Beans. You can also use yogurt covered raisins.
  • Cinnamon Squares Candy. Feel free to use any similar style candy.
  • Yogurt Covered Pretzels. White Chocolate Covered Pretzels is another option.
  • Cherry Gummy Bears. Pick these out of a regular bag or candy shops often have select colors.
  • White Chocolate Pecans. Other types of nuts include almonds or cashews.

  • Sour Raspberry Bites. Blue gum drops also look good.
  • Blue and White Gummy Sharks. You can normally find these in the candy section.

How to make American Flag Candy Charcuterie Board

  • Start with a large rectangle board or tray. It is helpful to use one with edges so the candy stays in place. You can also utilize a baking pan.
  • Assemble the stripes first on the flag. Initially, create red stripes on the pan using the twizzlers, cinnamon squares, cherry gummy bears, and the strawberry sour powers candy.

Create the white stripes utilizing white jelly beans, yogurt-covered pretzels, and white chocolate. Only place the ingredients on half of the pan to allow room for the blue portion.
  • Create the blue rectangle. Fill in the empty top square of the pan with the sour raspberry bites. Place the blue and white gummy sharks on top similar to the star-shaped portion of the American flag.
  • Enjoy. Your patriotic board is ready to serve promptly for an impressive treat.

Pro Tips

  • It is ideal to use a rectangle platter with sides. This type of large board will prevent the candy from slipping on the dessert board. A square dish will not have the correct shape of a flag.
  • You can utilize any red white or blue candies that you prefer. Just mix in smaller candies in the rows.
  • It is important to initially assemble this board right before serving. You can prepare all the ingredients the night before and store them appropriately.
Then effortlessly assemble the board with minimum time commitment.
  • I do not recommend traveling with this. It is best assembled initially where you plan to serve it. The rows can easily shift so it needs to remain stable and intact.

More Candy ideas to use

  • Red Candies. Red Hots, Red hearts, Red Hershey Kisses in wrappers, and Red M&M’s make great choices.
  • Blue Foods. Blue Gummy Bears, Blue Jolly Ranchers. Blue M&M’s.
  • White Candies. Mini Marshmallows, White M&M’s, White Chocolate Kit-Kat Mini’s. These all make perfect white stars.
