- Ground Cinnamon: Adjust the amount to your taste. Add more for a stronger warm spice flavor or less for a milder apple pie taste.

Step By Step Instructions
- Step 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Then spray a pie pan with cooking spray.

Step 2. Next, open the cinnamon rolls and set the icing aside. Cut each of the cinnamon rolls in half so that you make 2 thinner cinnamon rolls. Then sprinkle flour on a cutting board and use a rolling pin to roll out the cinnamon rolls.

Step 3. Place the cinnamon rolls in the bottom of the pie plate to make the cinnamon roll crust. Then bake the cinnamon roll pie crust for 5-7 minutes.

Step 4. Mix together the apples and lemon juice in a large bowl. Then add in the sugar, salt, cinnamon and cornstarch.

Step 5. Then add the apple mixture and layer the rest of the cinnamon rolls on top of the whole pie. Pinch together any holes and gently press the crust onto the bottom layer of cinnamon roll so that they are pinched together.

Step 6. Cover with aluminum foil and bake the cinnamon rolls until golden brown. Then remove the foil and bake for 10 more minutes to brown the top of the pie. Allow to cool and drizzle with glaze.

Step 7. Then the pie is ready to slice, serve warm and enjoy!

Pro Tips
- Apples: A mix of fresh apples is fine, but Granny Smith apples are ideal because their tartness balances the sweetness of the cinnamon rolls and they hold up well during baking. Honeycrisp apples are another great option if you prefer a slightly sweeter flavor.
- Cooling: Allow the pie to cool completely before drizzling icing or serving. This prevents the icing from melting too quickly and helps the layers set for cleaner slices.
- Even Baking: Make sure the apple slices are evenly distributed across the cinnamon roll base to ensure consistent baking and flavor in every bite.
- Optional Toppings: Consider sprinkling a little extra cinnamon or light brown sugar on top before baking for added texture and flavor.
Storage
Room Temperature: Store the pie in an airtight container for up to 2 days. Keep it covered to prevent the cinnamon rolls from drying out.
Refrigerator: Store in the fridge for up to 4โ5 days. Allow the pie to come to room temperature or warm slightly in the oven or microwave before serving.
Freezer: Wrap the cooled pie tightly in plastic wrap and then in foil. Freeze for up to 2 months. Thaw overnight in the refrigerator and warm slightly before serving. See Can you freeze apple pie for more tips.
