Room Temperature – Store in an airtight container for up to 3–4 days to keep them soft and chewy.

Avoid Refrigeration – Refrigerating can make the treats hard and less enjoyable.

Freezing – Wrap individually in plastic wrap and store in a freezer-safe bag for up to 1 month. Thaw at room temperature before serving.

Expert Tips

  • Use Fresh Ingredients – Fresh marshmallows and cereal give the best texture and flavor.
  • Melt Marshmallows Slowly – Heat butter and marshmallows over low heat or in short microwave intervals to avoid burning.
  • Mix Quickly – Stir cereal into the melted marshmallows while warm for even coating.
  • Color Carefully – Add food coloring gradually to reach the desired hue without altering texture.
  • Decorate After Cooling – Let treats cool slightly before adding candy eyes or extra decorations to prevent melting.
