Step 6. Spread the mixture into the pie crust.  Then chill for at least 4 hours but overnight is preferred. Garnish with chocolate shaving and whipped cream topping before serving.

Topping Ideas

  • Chopped Hazelnuts
  • Chocolate sauce
  • Whipped Cream. I love Homemade Whipped Cream.
  • Peanut Butter sauce.
  • Chocolate chunks or curls

Pro Tips

  • Room temperature cream cheese. Make sure the cream cheese has softened at room temperature before making the pie. This will prevent a lumpy texture in your pie filling.  You can use an electric mixer to help blend together.
  • Make ahead of time. Make this in advance and save time. We love to make it the day before and refrigerate.
  • Gently press the crust. Use the bottom of a cup or measuring cup to firmly press the crust down. This will help to make it nice and smooth.
  • Let the melted butter cool. Allow the butter to cool slightly before combining with the crushed Oreo Cookies.

Frequently Asked Questions

How do you make an Oreo Crust?

We used a food processor to quickly and easily crush the Oreo cookies. However, if you do not have one, it is ok.

You can place the cookies inside a ziploc bag. Seal and crush the cookies using the back of a spoon or rolling pin.

Then combine with butter as normal and mix together to form the crust.

How to store the pie?

Refrigerate the leftovers for up to 5 days. Make sure the pie is covered inside an airtight container.

Can you freeze the pie?

Wrap the pie in plastic wrap and place inside a freezer bag or container. It can be frozen up to 2 months.

When ready to eat, allow to thaw in the fridge overnight.
