How to Make Oreo Mug Cake

Oreo cookies in food processor.

Step 1. First, chop the Oreo cookies until they are in fine pieces.ย  You can use a food processor to get the cookies into fine crumbs or even just a fork in the mug. No worries if you don’t have one. Just put the cookies in a ziploc bag and use a rolling pin or wooden spoon to crush them.

Crumbs placed in mug.

Step 2. Second, put the crushed Oreos in a microwave-safe coffee mug, small bowl, or ramekin. You definitely need to make sure it is microwave-safe!

Milk poured into cup.

Step 3. Finally, very slowly pour the milk in the mug. Stir until the milk and oreo cookies are well combined.

Cake cooked and ready to enjoy.

Step 4. Put in the microwave for 90 seconds to cook the batter. Enjoy!

Expert Tips

  • For a fluffier cake texture, add 1 tsp of baking powder to the mixture before you cook it. This should make the cake a little fluffier if you prefer that.
  • Add a spoonful of chocolate chips. Try milk chocolate, white chocolate, dark chocolate or even peanut butter morsels. This is all optional but definitely makes it even more decadent.
