How to make Caramel Apple Cobbler

  • Step 1. Preheat the oven and prepare the dish. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a 9X13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray.

Step 2. Combine the filling into a large bowl.  Toss to thoroughly combine all the ingredients.

Step 3. Toss to coat the sliced apples in the caramel. Then pour the mixture into the baking dish.

Step 4. Combine the topping ingredients. Mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together in a mixing bowl.  Stir in the milk and melted butter. Do not overmix.

Step 6. Bake for 40-45 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

We love using a combination of sweet and tart apples in this recipe for the best flavor.  Fuji, Gala, Honeycrisp and Golden Delicious are all great sweet apple options. 

Pink Lady, Braeburn, McIntosh, Granny Smith apples and Jonathan apples are all great tart options.  The tartness helps to balance out the sweetness of the other ingredients.
