Filling: 

  • Large Baking Apples (peeled, cored and cut into ¼ inch slices) 
  • Brown Sugar 
  • Granulated Sugar 
  • All Purpose Flour 
  • Small Lemon (juiced) 
  • Ground Cinnamon 
  • Ground Nutmeg 
  • Salt 

For the Caramel: 

  • Caramel Sauce (divided) 

Topping: 

  • All Purpose Flour 
  • Granulated Sugar 
  • Milk 
  • Baking Powder 
  • Butter (melted) 
  • Salt
  • Vanilla Extract 

How to make Caramel Apple Cobbler:

  • Step 1. Preheat the oven and prepare the dish. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a 9X13 baking dish with non-stick cooking spray. 
  • Step 2. Combine the filling. Add the filling ingredients into a large mixing bowl.  Toss to thoroughly combine all the ingredients.  
  • Step 3. Coat the apples in caramel. Pour in 1 cup of the caramel sauce and toss to coat the sliced apples in the caramel.

  • Step 4. Spread into the pan. Then pour the mixture into the baking dish.  
  • Step 5. Combine the topping ingredients. For the topping, mix together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt together in a mixing bowl.  
  • Step 6. Add the milk and butter. Stir in the milk and melted butter until just combined.  Do not over mix. 
  • Step 7. Spread the topping over the apples. Pour the topping mixture over the apples in the baking pan. 
  • Step 8. Bake the cobbler. Bake for 40-45 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

  • Step 9. Let the cobbler rest and then serve. Allow the cobbler to sit for 15-20 minutes and then serve topped with ice cream and the remaining caramel sauce.  Enjoy!
