Ingredients for Lemon Fudge - White chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, butter, lemon juice, lemon zest.
  • White Chocolate Chips. Use high quality chocolate for the best results.
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk. This gives the fudge the perfect amount of sweetness.
  • Unsalted Butter. Make sure to use unsalted butter.
  • Lemon Juice. Fresh lemon juice is best.
  • Lemon Zest. This adds so much wonderful citrus flavor.

How to Make Lemon Fudge

  • Step 1. Prepare the baking dish with parchment paper.
Saucepan with sweetened condensed milk, butter, lemon juice and lemon zest.

Step 2. Combine the sweetened condensed milk, butter, lemon juice and lemon zest in a saucepan.  Heat over low to medium heat.

Mixture combined together.

Step 3. Stir and heat until all the ingredients are combined.

Step 4.  Then remove the mixture from the heat. Add the white chocolate chips.

Mixture melted and combined.

Step 5. Stir until melted.

Fudge mixture spread into pan and topped with lemon zest.

Step 6. Spread the fudge mixture into the baking dish. Top with the remaining lemon zest. Allow to cool at room temperature. Then cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

Pro Tips

  • Allow to cool. The fudge needs to cool before being placed in the refrigerator.
  • Remove from heat. Make sure to remove from heat before adding the chocolate chips. You do not want it to burn.
  • Don’t use high heat. When combining the fudge ingredients, use low to medium heat.

  • 3 cups White Chocolate Chips
  • 1 can Sweetened Condensed Milk 14 ounce can
  • 4 Tablespoons Unsalted Butter
  • 3 Tablespoons Lemon Juice
  • 3 Tablespoon Lemon Zest

Instructions

  • Line an 8X8 baking pan with parchment paper.
  • Place the sweetened condensed milk, butter, lemon juice and 2 tablespoons of the lemon zest in a saucepan.  Heat over low to medium heat.
  • Stir and heat until all the ingredients are combined.
  • Remove the mixture from the heat, stir in the white chocolate melts and continue to stir until all the chocolate chips have melted.
  • Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and top with the remaining lemon zest. Allow the mixture to cool at room temperature and then cover the pan and move the pan to the refrigerator for at least 4 hours.
  • Once the fudge has fully set, cut and serve!
