Why This Recipe Works

There are lots of different recipes and techniques, but microwave fudge is my favorite. It is such an easy way to make fudge and the white chocolate fudge turns out amazing.

Make sure before you start making fudge, you go read our 5 Tips to make the perfect fudge recipe.  If you follow these 5 basic tips, you are bound to have cream fudge that will keep the crowds coming back for more.

Ingredients

Ingredients needed - white chocolate chips, sweetened condensed milk, crushed oreos
  • White Chocolate Chips. Use a good quality chocolate to ensure the fudge tastes great.
  • Sweetened Condensed Milk. Try our Sweetened Condensed Milk Recipe
  • Crushed Oreos. Use plain chocolate Oreo cookies and not double stuffed.

Get all the ingredient details at the bottom of the page.

Variations

  • Chocolate – Use semi-sweet chocolate chips instead of white chocolate chips. This makes a great white chocolate fudge.
  • Oreos – Use different flavors of Oreos. We like Lemon Oreos and add a little lemon extract to the white chocolate chips.
  • Peanut Butter – For added flavor, mix in a tablespoon of peanut butter.
  • Evaporated Milk – You can use evaporated milk instead of condensed milk.
  • Vanilla – You can also add in vanilla extract if you prefer.

Step By Step Instructions

  • Step 1. Place the white chocolate chips in a microwave safe dish. If you have problems with the white chocolate being creamy when melted, add a small amount of vegetable oil to the melted chocolate.

Step 2. Next, place the white chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl and microwave in 30 second intervals. Make sure to stir between each interval until they are completely melted.

Pro Tips

  • Use a Food Processor – I like to use a food processor to crush the Oreo cookies.  You can also a mini food processor for another option. If you don’t have one, crush the cookies with a rolling pin in a zip lock bag. Make sure to leave them in large chunks.
  • Melting Chocolate – Make sure to watch the chocolate closely in the microwave so it doesn’t burn. It’s important to melt in intervals and stir.
  • Allow to cool – The fudge needs time to set before cutting.
  • Cut with a sharp knife – Use a sharp knife to cut the fudge. Wipe after each slice and run underneath warm water if needed.
  • Double boiler – You can use a double boiler if you prefer not to use the microwave.
