Variations and Additions

  • Orange Juice. Substitute fresh orange juice, homemade orange juice or orange juice concentrate for the soda. You can also add orange zest to the fruit juice.

How to make Orange Sherbert Recipe

Step 1. Pour the orange soda into a large mixing bowl and allow the bubbles to settle.

Step 2. Pour the sweetened condensed milk into the mixing bowl.  Gently stir until well combined.  Add in orange food coloring until the mixture is the color that you prefer.

Step 3. Pour the mixture evenly into 2 loaf pans.  Cover with plastic wrap and freeze for at least 4-6 (or over night).

Step 4. Then the sherbet is ready to serve and enjoy! Top with whipped cream if desired.

How to store?

Place in a freezer container with a tight fitting lid. Store in the freezer. Allow to sit on the counter a few minutes to return to a soft-serve consistency.

How long will it last?

The sherbet will last up to 3 months if stored properly in the freezer.
