Why This Recipe Works

This recipe makes it easy to enjoy everything you know and love about Orange Julius in a handy popsicle. I love making homemade frozen treats and also make Lemon Lime Popsicles , Mango Tajin Popsicles Recipe and Homemade Raspberry Popsicle Recipe .

It’s so easy to make in a blender and budget friendly. You can use regular popsicle molds you probably already have. The prep work is minimum but the popsicle turns out absolutely amazing.

What is Orange Julius Flavor?

Orange juice is the highlight of an Orange Julius. It is packed with orange flavor.

Everything is blended together into a tasty drink. It is thicker than a drink but not quite as thick as a milkshake.

The flavor is fresh and the texture is rich and creamy. Now, you can enjoy all of that flavor in a delicious frozen treat.

It is simply the best and has such a unique and fresh flavor.

How to Make Orange Julius Popsicles

Mixture for popsicles in a bowl.

Step 1. Mix everything together. In a medium sized bowl, blend all of the ingredients until smooth.

Mixture poured into molds and frozen.

Step 2. Pour the orange mixture into the molds. Then freeze at least 5 hours but I suggest overnight. Then remove from the molds and serve.

Expert Tips

  • If you do not have fresh oranges, you can use 1 cup of store-bought orange juice. Orange juice concentrate can also be used.
  • For extra orange flavor, you can add the zest of two oranges to the mixture. This also looks really pretty.
  • If you have trouble removing the popsicle, run it under warm water for a few seconds. This should make it easy to remove. Just be careful that you do not leave it under water too long. You don’t want to melt the popsicle.
  • Feel free to use any type of molds you prefer. You can use what you already have as any type will work. Paper cups also work.

Storage

These popsicles will last for about 3 months in the freezer. I suggest removing them from the molds. Then place inside a freezer bag or freezer container.

The molds are usually not airtight so the popsicles will not stay as fresh. Plus, it is just easier to grab one from the freezer if already out of the molds.

The kids prefer to just grab one of the tasty treats out of the bag as it can be hard for them to remove from the molds. You can just do what works best for your family.
