What to serve with caramel apple cheesecake dip:

  • Fresh sliced apples. Granny Smith, Gala or Golden Delicious. We like to use Granny Smith because the tartness balances out the sweetness of the dip. Feel free to use your favorite type of fresh apples.
  • Pear Slices. The flavor of pears tastes delicious with this caramel dip.
  • Graham Crackers. Honey, Cinnamon or Chocolate.
  • Vanilla Wafers
  • Animal Crackers. Original or Chocolate.

How to store:

Refrigerate any leftover dip covered for up to 5 days.

How long will this dip last?

It can be made up to a day in advance. Leftovers will last 1 to 2 days.

Tips and Tricks:

  • The dip can be served immediately after making it. However, we find it’s best to serve after it has been refrigerated for at least 30 minutes. This allows the ingredients to set and the flavors to combine.
  • This dessert dip can be made in a pie plate if you prefer a thinner layer of dip.
  • An electric mixer helps to make this dip smooth and creamy. While I love my stand mixer, I prefer to use my hand held mixer for smaller recipes such as this.

Variations:

  • Toffee. If you cannot find toffee bits, you can crush Heath bars and top the dip with these instead.
  • Chocolate Chips. These make a great addition to this dip. Sprinkle a few on top to make it even more decadent.
  • Nuts. Sprinkle chopped nuts on top. We like pecans and walnuts.
  • Apples. We like the chunks of apple in the dip. However, if you prefer a smoother consistency, blend everything using a food processor.
  • Cream Cheese. You can substitute reduced fat cream cheese. However, we think full fat cream cheese is best in this dip. It provides the perfect texture and flavor for this recipe.
