How to Make Deep Fried Nutella

Step 1. Freeze the Nutella. Line 2 baking sheets with parchment paper. Drop the Nutella into dollops on the baking sheets on the parchment paper. They do not need to be perfect round balls, just drop it onto the baking sheet. Then freeze for 2-4 hours.

Step 2. Heat 3 inches of oil in a deep pot or frying pan until the oil reaches 350 degrees. You can use a deep fryer or heat the oil in a large pot. While the oil is heating up, combine the batter. Mix together the pancake mix, egg, milk and vegetable oil in a bowl.

Step 3. Dip the frozen Nutella into the batter. Then place in the oil and cook for 3-4 minutes until golden brown. Turn a few times with metal tongs. Place the fried Nutella on a paper towel-lined tray.

Step 4. Then sift the powder sugar over the top. Serve immediately while warm.
