How to Make Strawberry Buttercream Frosting

Step 1. Core the fresh strawberries. Then purée them in a food processor or blender until smooth.

Step 2. In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter and powdered sugar. Mix with a hand mixer or stand mixer until combined and fluffy.

Yes, you can frozen strawberries in this recipe. You can actually use freeze dried strawberries if you prefer. Freeze dried strawberries powdered could give your frosting more of a deeper strawberry flavor and color.

This Strawberry Buttercream Frosting makes enough to frost the following:
12-18 Cupcakes when frosting with a pipped frosting tip.
18-24 Cupcakes frosted with a thin layer with a knife.
