Why This Recipe Works
It’s so easy with only 3 ingredients. Anyone can make this for a fabulous treat without much time or expense. Another refreshing treat we love is Strawberry Yogurt Bites.
Ingredients

- Blueberries. You can use fresh or frozen blueberries, but I prefer fresh blueberries.
- Sugar. Feel free to adjust this based on preference.
- Vanilla Greek Yogurt. This gives the popsicles the creamy texture.

Variations and Additions
- Substitute honey instead of sugar as the sweetener in this recipe.
- You can add a splash of lemon juice to the mixture before freezing. It enhances the blueberry flavor even more.
- Try using flavored yogurt instead of vanilla. Lemon yogurt and cheesecake yogurt make delicious substitutes.
- You can also use regular yogurt instead of Greek yogurt. However, I like to use Greek yogurt due to the extra protein it packs.
- Substitute other fruits for new flavors. We also like blackberries, raspberries, and strawberries.
- Ice cream is a tasty substitute for the yogurt. It isn’t as healthy but it is rich and creamy for another option to try.
How to Make Blueberry Popsicles

Step 1. Combine the fruit and sugar using a blender or food processor until well blended. It should be a smoothie-like consistency.

Step 2. Add the yogurt to a large bowl. Pour the blueberry mixture into the bowl and gently mix it together. Do not thoroughly combine it together so that the mixture has a swirl pattern.

Step 3. Pour the mixture evenly into the popsicle molds. Then add the wooden popsicle sticks.

Step 4. Freeze the popsicles. Place the molds in the freezer and freeze for 4 to 6 hours or until the popsicles are fully frozen. We normally let them freezer overnight.
Frequently Asked Questions
The popsicles need to be frozen a minimum of 4 to 6 hours or overnight. I prefer to let them freeze overnight to make sure they are frozen solid.
When you are ready to serve, run warm water on the outside of the molds to loosen the popsicles from the molds. This should make it easy to remove from the mold.
I don’t recommend using hot water or you risk melting the popsicle. Just a little warm water should do the trick in seconds.
They will last about 6 weeks in the freezer if stored inside an airtight container. You might want to double the recipe because your family will love these.
You can store these in the molds. However, I prefer to remove them and place inside an airtight container or bag.
This makes it easier for the kiddos to grab a treat without the hassle of having to remove from the mold each time. I like to place a layer of parchment paper between the popsicles in the container.
Feel free to do what suits your family the best.
