This easy creamsicle recipe makes it effortless to enjoy these at home. With just a few really simple ingredients, this popsicle recipe comes together fast. It’s so quick, that you can also make Homemade Raspberry Popsicle Recipe , Mango Popsicles and Blueberry Yogurt Popsicles.

What are orange Creamsicles made of?

It might be hard to fathom but these ice pops only call for 3 ingredients. You just need orange juice, Greek Yogurt and sugar.

That is all you need to make this amazing recipe.

  • Freeze the popsicles. They will need about 6 hours to freeze or overnight.

Variation ideas:

  • Vanilla bean ice cream. Substitute this for the Greek yogurt.
  • Full Fat Coconut Milk. Try using this instead of yogurt for a rich and creamy popsicle treat.
  • Heavy whipping cream. Use 1 cup heavy cream and 1 teaspoon vanilla extract. Beat until stiff but not thick. It should not be runny or overly thick.

Add to the mixture instead of yogurt.
  • Sweetened condensed milk and heavy cream. Use ½ cup of each for a rich and decadent treat.
  • Lemon or Lime Juice. For a fun flavor twist, use lemonade or lime juice to make this recipe. I think pineapple juice would also be great and taste like a Dole Whip.

You can really use any type of juice you like in this recipe.
  • Different flavor yogurt. While vanilla will result in a classic flavor, try others for something different. You might be surprised with all of the combinations you come up with.
  • Orange zest. Finely grate a little orange zest and add to the popsicle mixture before freezing. It will add even more flavor and a pop of color.
  • Sweetener. Other options to try include: honey or maple syrup.

Dairy free option:

If you need a dairy free treat option, omit the Greek Yogurt and use canned coconut milk. This will still result in a really creamy popsicle but without the dairy.

How long will creamsicle popsicles last?

They will last up to 6 months in the freezer if stored properly. I suggest removing them from the molds and placing inside a freezer bag.

The popsicle molds are not airtight and can lead to freezer burn over time.

Using a freezer bag will ensure they are stored airtight to maximize freshness. This storage method also makes it easier for children to grab one without the hassle of removing from the mold.

How to remove homemade popsicles from molds:

Run warm water over the outside of the molds. Only do this for a few seconds to loosen the popsicles. Gently pull on the popsicle sticks and they should come right out.

I would not use hot water because it is too easy to melt the popsicles.

More tips:

  • If you do not have any popsicle molds, use a paper cup or ice cube tray to make these. You can use toothpicks for the ice cube trays and popsicles sticks for the cups.

The entire family will enjoy this.

It is such a refreshing treat that everyone will love. You don’t need many ingredients and the prep time is effortless.

Anyone can whip these up in minutes to enjoy a fabulous treat. We actually prefer these to store bought ice pops.

They taste fresher and the flavor is more vibrant. I also like that I know exactly what is inside these popsicles. You will not find any hidden or hard to pronounce ingredients in these treats.

This definitely makes me feel good about giving these to my family. Oh and we save money too. This recipe is so frugal and very inexpensive to make.

You can make a huge batch of these for much less than the store bought version. We often make a double batch because everyone absolutely loves them.
