If it is stored properly, it will last about a week. Any longer, and the popcorn peanut butter chocolate will start to lose its crunchy texture and soften.
Pro Tips
- Melting Chocolate. The chocolate can easily be melted in the microwave using intervals. This will prevent it from burning.
- Popcorn. You can use an air popper, store bought, microwave popcorn or anything you like. Feel free to use plain, salted, kettle corn or any variety you prefer. Remove any kernels before coating.
- Allow to set. The chocolate needs to harden and cool before trying to break into pieces. Make sure to allow enough time to set or it will not easily break.
- Double the recipe. This popcorn makes a lot but you can easily double it for a big party.
- Perfect for giving as gifts. Place the popcorn in cellophane bags and tie with a ribbon. This is a yummy gift for friends and neighbors. They also make great treats for party favors.
- Drizzle the chocolate evenly. Make sure that you drizzle the melted chocolate and peanut butter all over the popcorn. You want this tasty mixture on every piece of popcorn.
- Good quality ingredients. Use a good quality chocolate in this recipe. It will melt smoother and taste better.
- Coconut Oil. If the chocolate isn’t melting well or is too thick, add a teaspoon of oil to the mixture. You can also use vegetable oil but we love coconut oil.
