How To Make Christmas Fudge

Step 1. First, line an 8 X 8-inch square baking pan with foil or parchment paper. Then spray it with cooking spray and this will make it very easy to remove the fudge. It will also help with clean up.

Step 2. Second, get out a large microwave-safe bowl and put the chocolate chips inside it. Then melt the chocolate in 30 second increments stirring constantly after each interval. Use medium heat if your microwave has a setting.

Step 3. Continue to heat until the chocolate is melted. Be careful not to overcook the white chocolate.

Step 4. Stir in the vanilla frosting.

Step 5. Once everything is combined, separate the fudge mixture evenly between 3 bowls.

Step 6. You will need to leave one bowl white and then stir in the green and red food coloring into the other 2 bowls.

Step 7. Drop a spoonful of each color into the square pan using a random pattern.

Step 8. Continue until all of the different colors have been distributed.

Step 9. Once all of the fudge is in the prepared pan, use a knife to create a swirl pattern. I normally go back and forth and it creates a gorgeous pattern.

Step 10. Allow the fudge to set in the fridge for 30 minutes to 1 hour. Then slice and enjoy.
Pro Tips
- Line the baking dish. Use parchment paper to make removing the fudge easier and simplify cleanup.
- Melt chocolate slowly. Heat in short intervals, about 20–30 seconds at a time, and stir between intervals to prevent burning.
- Separate colors. If using multiple food colorings, mix each color in its own bowl to maintain vibrant shades.
- Swirl carefully. Gently swirl the colored fudge to create a marbled effect without overmixing, so each color remains distinct.
- Use a toothpick or skewer. For precise swirls, drag a toothpick or skewer lightly through the fudge to create patterns.
- Work quickly. Fudge can begin to set as it cools, so swirl the colors while the fudge is still soft.
- Tap the pan. Gently tap the baking dish on the counter to remove air bubbles and smooth the surface before the fudge sets.
- Chill properly. Refrigerate the fudge for at least 2–3 hours to ensure it sets fully before cutting.
