Slow Cooker Cookies are so easy to make. Each bite is so gooey and packed with chocolate. It’s really easy to make in the crock pot for a super easy dessert.

This recipe reminds me of our Chocolate Chip Pizookie Recipe but in a crock pot. This is special enough for Sunday lunch but easy enough to make for a weeknight treat. Slow Cooker Chocolate Lava Cake is another favorite crock pot dessert.

Why We Love This Recipe

The crock pot makes it effortless to enjoy dessert any day of the week. It’s so warm and gooey for the best treat.

With mostly pantry ingredients, it is so easy to make.

Ingredients

  • Butter. Softened at room temperature.
  • Brown Sugar. Homemade Brown Sugar Recipe.
  • Vanilla. Pure vanilla extract is best.
  • All Purpose Flour. Always spoon the flour into the measuring cup instead of scooping it.
  • Baking Soda. Best Baking Soda Substitutes.
  • Chocolate Chips. I just throw in two handfuls.
  • Caramel. I love this easy recipe for caramel sauce.
  • Ice Cream. This is another optional but highly suggested item. Serving this dessert ice cream is the perfect combination.

How to Make Slow Cooker Cookies

Step 1. First, you will need a large mixing bowl. Beat the butter, sugar, brown sugar, and vanilla until fluffy. I normally use my stand mixer. It makes everything go so fast and it’s so easy to get the mixture light and fluffy.

Step 2. Next, add the eggs to the mixture. Beat until well combined.

Step 3. Mix in dry Ingredients. Add the flour, salt and baking soda. Mix this together slowly until everything is mixed together.

Step 4. Mix in chocolate chips by hand.

Step 5. Finally, grease the crock pot. Another tip is to line with parchment paper. Place about half of the batter into the crock pot. This is optional but I like to drizzle some of the caramel sauce. Nuts are also a great add in as well. Use the remaining batter and spread in the crock pot.

Step 6. Cook the cookie dough on high. It should take about 2 hours.

Expert Tips

  • Room Temperature – Make sure when storing the chocolate chip cookie cake, it is at room temperature.
  • Slow Cooker Size – We recommend making this recipe in a 6-quart slow cooker. If you double the recipe, you may need to use a larger slow cooker.
  • Remove Insert – If you prefer you can remove the insert when serving this dessert.
  • Make in the Oven – If you prefer, you can make this Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake in the oven. Simply press the dough in a 9×13 baking dish. Bake in an oven at 325 degrees for about 45 minutes or until the edges are golden brown.
  • Cooking – Check the cookie after about an hour to make sure it is not burning. You may need to turn on low if the parchment paper is burning or the cookie edges are burning.
  • Combining Ingredients – We like to combine the ingredients with a stand mixer or hand-held mixer. Mix in the chocolate chips by hand for the best results.
  • Room Temperature Ingredients – Before mixing the butter in, make sure it is softened. This helps to beat the butter in evenly.

How to Make Sure It Doesn’t Stick?

  • I recommend using cooking spray so it is easier to clean your crock pot.
  • You can also line the crockpot with parchment paper.
  • Crock pot liners also work great.

Storage

Chocolate Chip Cookie Cake leftovers can be stored in the fridge. Store in an airtight container and it will last about 5 days.
