We like to serve puppy chow in a big bowl, but you can also serve in cupcake liners. Puppy chow is also a great addition to a charcuterie board.

Variation Ideas:

The best thing about this Puppy Chow recipe is you and change the ingredients to what you have on hand. Here are some of our favorite variations:

  • Toss in Mini Reese’s Cups
  • Add Chocolate Chips
  • M&M’s are always a fun addition
  • For an extra crunch add in Pretzels
  • Another fun idea to add is nuts.
  • Try puppy chow without powdered sugar
  • Instead of Golden Grahams, you can break up graham crackers

S’mores Puppy Chow Tips:

  • Mixing the Ingredients – We like to mix the ingredients other than the powdered sugar in a large mixing bowl. Then we transfer to a zip lock bag to cover in the powdered sugar.
  • Powdered Sugar – To cover evenly it is best to coat your ingredients in a large zip lock bag. We have tried other methods and this one works best.
  • Make a Large Batch – Puppy chow is so addicting no mater the holiday we make it. So I always make a large batch.

How to store:

Store in an airtight container for up to a week and enjoy! Ours never lasts that long though because we eat it quickly. We really love it.

It is ok out for a day or so but it will keep longer in the fridge. Like I said, we eat this super fast because it is a treat we all love!

This Puppy chow recipe is so good it is hard to stop at one bite. Plus, we all love anything s’mores so this goes pretty fast around here.

Camp Fire Treat:

If you love S’mores but are looking for an easy camp fire treat, then make this S’more Puppy Chow. It combines all the flavor of s’mores but no campfire is needed. This is the perfect treat to make ahead of you are heading out for a camping trip.

We also enjoy it just sitting by our fire pit at home. It is a budget friendly snack that is easy to make. If you are looking for a no bake dessert idea that can be changed to what you have on hand, this is the sweet treat I would make.
