How to Make Fried Peach Cobbler Recipe
- Step 1. Melt the butter in a skillet over medium high heat.

Step 2. Combine the sugar and spices. Add the juices from the canned peaches and whisk together with the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and allspice in the pan. Bring the mixture to a low boil. Make sure to stir constantly.

Step 3. Next, add the peaches to the mixture. Let them cook for 5-8 minutes until the sauce begins to thicken. Watch them closely because you don’t want them to get too soft as firmer peaches are suggested. Then remove from heat and allow to cool slightly.

Step 4. You will need another skillet. Melt the remaining butter and add in the olive oil. Separate the biscuits and pull them apart. Cook each side for 2-3 minutes until they are browned. You can also use a deep fryer.

Step 5. Next, place the fried dough on a plate lined with paper towels to soak up the excess oil. Sprinkle powdered sugar on the biscuits. When you are ready to serve, layer the biscuits and peaches with the sauce in bowls and enjoy.

Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, pour the peach mixture into a baking dish. Top with the biscuits and brush with butter. Bake at 350 degrees for about 12 to 15 minutes.
The biscuits should be golden brown and thoroughly cooked inside.
The air fryer can be used to cook the biscuits if you are looking for a healthier option. Preheat the air fryer to 350 degrees. Cook the biscuits for 10 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.
Then top each serving of cobbler with the biscuits .
Any brand is good to use but make sure to get the flakey variety. Being able to pull them apart helps to create the layers in this cobbler.
We do not recommend using frozen biscuits. You are unable to pull them apart for layers and they take longer to cook.
Fresh or frozen peaches can be used in this recipe. You will need to extend the cooking time to allow them to cook down. More water may need to be added since you will not have the syrup from canned peaches to use.
Once the mixture has cooked, taste test to ensure it is sweet enough. Canned peaches are sweeter due to the syrup. You may need to adjust the recipe for sweetness if it is not sweet enough.
