Variations
- Fruit. We love this peach ice cream but it is fun to try other varieties. You can easily substitute the peaches for other fruit. Try using strawberries or blueberries.
Step by Step Instructions

Step 1. First, get the peaches ready and make sure that you peel and pit them. Next, I like to use a food processor to pulse the peach slices until they are the size of small chunks. You can also use a potato masher or blender if you don’t have a food processor.

Step 2. Second, get a large bowl and add the sweetened condensed milk, heavy cream, and vanilla extra. Blend this together with a mixer using medium-high speed until you start to see stiff peaks on the back of a spoon.

Step 3. Next, add the peach chunks into the ice cream base. You want to very gently fold them in by hand. Just stir until combined. Don’t overmix or mash.

Step 4. Finally, pour the ice cream mixture into a container that is freezer-safe. I like to use a loaf pan or an ice cream freezer container. Let the mixture freeze for a minimum of 4 hours if you want soft-serve consistency. If you want it firmer, freeze for at least 6 hours and up to overnight. Serve it on an Ice Cream Sundae Bar.

FAQs
Cover the ice cream with plastic wrap and foil if the container does not have a lid. You can also transfer to an airtight container. I also like to put a layer of wax paper directly on the ice cream to prevent ice crystals from forming.
You can store this peach ice cream for up to 2 weeks in the freezer.

Pro Tips
- Make sure you either have a hand mixer or a stand mixer to mix the ice cream. This will make it much easier to form the soft peaks.
- Avoid using a freezer dish that is very deep to freeze the ice cream. It will take longer for the ice cream mixture to freeze. Try to use a shallow pan if you have one.
- Fresh ripe peaches are best, but you can use frozen peaches as an alternative.
- Full-fat ingredients are best. The fat content in the milk mixture helps to make this ice cream creamy. It is not a custard-based ice cream with eggs or egg yolks.
