Do you love ooey gooey deep-fried treats? Our family does and we really love chocolate and peanut butter. We love Reese’s Desserts and this recipe is so delicious.

The trick is to freeze the Reese’s Cups prior to frying. The inside is gooey and the coating is crispy and perfect. I have also been making Deep Fried Cookie Dough for years.

Why This Recipe Works

Just like any of our other favorite fried treats, Reese’s can also be fried. We tried making Deep Fried Oreos and they were a hit. Then we attempted deep frying Reese’s Cups.

The results? They were so decadent and delicious. I can’t wait for you to try them. They are so gooey on the inside and crispy on the outside.

Ingredients for deep fried reese's peanut butter cups. - peanut butter cups, pancake mix, egg, milk, oil, powdered sugar.

Serving Suggestions

Storage

These are best served right away. However, leftovers can be stored inside an airtight container.

Just make sure to allow them to cool first. They will keep up to 1 to 2 days at room temperature.

Expert Tips

  • Freeze the candy. We recommend freezing the Reese’s Peanut for at least 1 hour before frying. This will prevent the chocolate from melting and oozing out into the frying oil.
  • Wait to remove from freezer. Do not remove the peanut butter cups from the freezer until ready to fry.
  • Evenly cook both sides. Deep Fried Reese’s Cups should be flipped during the cooking process.
  • Remove excess oil. Place the Fried Reese’s Cups on a paper towel lined plate.
