How to Deep Fry Twinkies

  • Step 1. Add oil and heat. Heat 3 inches of vegetable oil in a deep pot until it is approximately 350 degrees Fahrenheit.

Step 2. Combine the batter ingredients. In a large mixing bowl, whisk wet ingredients into dry ingredients mixing until smooth and well combined.

Step 3. Coat the twinkies. Dip each twinkie into the batter until they are fully covered.

Step 4. Place in the deep fryer or deep pan. Place in the heated oil and cook for 3-4 minutes. Rotate twinkie occasionally, until golden brown.  Work in batches so you do not crowd the pan.

  • Fully covered in batter. Make sure each twinkie is completely covered in the batter before frying.
