Ingredients

- Popped Popcorn. Make sure to remove any kernels that didn’t pop.
- Granulated Sugar. Just plain white sugar.
- Light Corn Syrup. This helps to give the popcorn the delicious texture.
- Butter. Always use real butter.
- Kool-aid – Any Flavor. I like cherry kool-aid and lemon-lime but you can use any kool-aid flavor you love. Just make sure to use unsweetened drink mix.

How to Make Koolaid Popcorn
- Step 1 – Preheat the oven. It should be set to 225 degrees F.
- Step 2 – Prepare the popcorn. Pop the popcorn based on your preference. We used microwave popcorn. Place the popcorn in a large bowl. You can use 2 bowls if needed.

Step 3 – Combine the corn syrup mixture. In a medium saucepan, stir together the butter, cup sugar, and light corn syrup for 1-2 minutes.

Step 4. Boil the mixture. Then bring to a boil for 3 minutes.

Step 5 – Add the kool-aid packet. Remove the medium sauce pan from the heat and stir in the kool-aid mixture – mixture and baking soda.

Step 6. This mixture should double in size and become light and fluffy.

Step 7 – Coat the popcorn. Pour over popcorn and stir gently to evenly coat popcorn. Stir to coat the popcorn with the mixture. Be careful as the mixture will be hot.

Step 8 – Pour the coated popcorn on a baking sheet. Bake for 40 minutes. Remove from the oven stirring the popcorn every 10 minutes. Continue to bake 10 min at a time. Repeat 3 times for a total baking time of 40 minutes. Allow to cool and break into pieces.

- 1/2 teaspoon Baking Soda

- Pour the coated popcorn on a baking sheet. Bake for 40 minutes, stir the popcorn every 10 minutes.
- Allow the popcorn to cool on the baking sheet. Once cooled, break into pieces and enjoy!
