Pro Tips

  • Full-Fat Cream Cheese – When making this recipe, we recommend using full fat cream cheese. You also want to make sure that your cream has softened to room temperature. This helps the frosting to be smooth and creamy.
  • Combining Ingredients – When combining the ingredients we recommend using a hand mixer or a stand mixer. If you use the stand mixer use the paddle attachment in a large bowl. Make sure to scrape the sides of the bowl while mixing.
  • Piping Bag – If you prefer, you can place the frosting in a piping bag to pipe on many bake goods. If you do not have piping bags, you can use a zip loc bags.
  • Double The Recipe – This frosting stores well, so we recommend doubling the recipe. During the fall baking months, I use this recipe on a lot of my favorite fall desserts.
  • Unsalted Butter – We prefer to use unsalted butter. This way if you wanted to add in salt, you can control how much you add.
