Expert Tips

  • Poke Holes in Tortilla – To prevent air bubbles to form in the taco shells, we recommend poking holes with a fork.
  • Tortillas Size –  If you cannot find the street taco size tortillas. Cut soft taco size tortillas into 4 inch round circles with a cookie cutter or glass.
  • Cover Tortilla – Cover the tortilla with the cinnamon and sugar on each side. This will give the apple tacos so much flavor.
  • Taco Shell Shape – It is best to bake the tortillas on a muffin pan that has been turned upside down. This helps to keep the shape of the shell to easily fill them.
  • Baking – Bake the tortilla for about 5 minutes. It does not take long to bake so watch closely.
  • Apple Pie Filling – It may be possible that the apple pie filling has chunks in them. Just use a knife to cut the pieces into bite size pieces.
  • Filling Shells – Since these are small size tortilla, it will not take much to fill the shells. Make sure to not overfill to easily serve them.
  • Rest – After baking the apple tacos, allow the mixture to rest before serving.
