Storage

Room Temperature – Store in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days to keep the popcorn crunchy.

Avoid Refrigeration – Refrigerating can make the chocolate coating hard and the popcorn lose its crispness.

Freezing – For longer storage, place in a sealed freezer-safe bag or container for up to 1 month. Thaw at room temperature before serving.

Keep Dry – Ensure the container is fully sealed and the popcorn is cool before storing to prevent moisture from making it soggy.

Pro Tips

  • Use Fresh, Fully Popped Popcorn – Make sure to remove any unpopped kernels to avoid bites that could be hard or sharp.
  • Melt Chocolate Slowly – Use a microwave in 20–30 second intervals to prevent burning.
  • Stir Gently – Fold the chocolate and peanut butter coating into the popcorn carefully to avoid crushing the popcorn.
  • Sift Powdered Sugar – Ensures the coating is smooth and evenly coats each piece.
  • Line a Baking Sheet – Spread the coated popcorn on parchment paper to cool without sticking.
  • Add Mix-Ins While Warm – Sprinkle M&M’s, nuts, or candies over the popcorn while it’s still warm for best adherence.
  • Store Properly – Keep in an airtight container to maintain crunchiness and prevent the chocolate from melting.
  • Customize Flavors – Experiment with different chocolates, nut butters, or a pinch of salt to enhance the sweet-and-salty balance.
