How to Make Oreo Cheesecake Cookies

Step 1. Combine the cream cheese and butter with an electric hand mixer or stand mixer with paddle attachment until light and fluffy. I used a large mixing bowl.

Step 2. Mix in the sugar. Add in the sugar and vanilla extract and beat until incorporated.

Step 3. Combine until smooth and creamy.

Step 4. Gradually add the flour. Then turn the speed on the mixer down to low and gradually add in the flour until just combined. Be very careful not to over mix.

Step 5. Stir in the cookies. Hand stir in the chopped Oreo cookies. Fold the cookies in carefully and scrape the sides of the bowl.

Step 6. Refrigerate the cookie dough. Then make the dough balls.

Step 7. Bake the cookies for about 10 minutes until the edges of the cookies are lightly golden brown. The cookies will still be soft.

Step 8. Allow to cool on the baking sheet for 10 minutes to fully set. Then move place cookies on a cooling rack to cool completely.
Frequently Asked Questions
Store any leftover cookies in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 5 days. You can place a piece of bread in the container with the cookies to keep them soft.
There are 2 options for freezing these cookies. You can freeze them prior to baking.
With this option, form the dough balls and flash freeze on a lined baking sheet. Then place them inside a freezer container up to 3 months.
Bake the cookies as normal but allow a few extra minutes if still frozen when baking.
Another options is to freeze the cookies once they are already baked. I suggest placing wax paper in between the layers so they don’t stick to each other. Make sure to use a freezer container or bag.

Pro Tips
- Flatten the cookies. It is important that you flatten each cookie after forming the balls. They will not flatten while baking so this is important.
- Chop the cookies. The cookies turn out prettier if you chop the cookies instead of crushing them. Chopping them helps to keep the cream inside the cookies. You do not want them to be Oreo cookie crumbs.
- Cookie Scoops. Use a cookie scoop to quickly make the cookies all uniform into small balls. This is easier than using a tablespoon.
- Softened butter. The ingredients will mix together smoother with softened ingredients.
- Line the pan. Use parchment paper and line the baking sheet.
