Frequently Asked Questions

How to tell when brownies are done?

The top will look set and not wet anymore. If you are still unsure, use a toothpick to see if it comes out clean.

Can I freeze this recipe?

Yes, this recipe is freezer friendly. Wrap the brownies in plastic wrap and again in foil or place inside a freezer container.

Freeze up to one month. When you are ready to enjoy these, thaw overnight in the refrigerator.

Can I use homemade ingredients?

This recipe is easy to adapt to homemade ingredients. You do not have to use store bought if you prefer homemade.

Does it matter the order of the layers?

Typically, the heavier ingredient goes on the bottom. In this case, the chocolate chip cookie dough is denser. This is how I prefer it.

However, you might see some variations that reverse the order and use brownies on the bottom.
